I was wondering if anyone has pics of an installed Xenon air dam (81-85). This is the same dam that Victoria British sells. The pic in their catalog sucks so I'm curious if they look better painted the same color as the car. TIA

They're made of polyurethane and they flex and sag in the middle. As you can see on my avatar it's drooping.

I ended up pop riveting a 1" wide 1/8" thick piece of steel across the front of the air dam to stiffen it up. Epoxy or other adhesives would be better for a pretty street car.

Man does that droop. Looks like it would definitely need some reinforcement.

i like that air dam...i think that many airdams wreck the car by making it look too long for its width...but that one doesent...does it do anything for arodynamics

It's the same one Gamble posted, but it is a little different from the white one inittab posted.

 

Nope same one, he just cut brake cooling holes in it.

 

that's not too bad. i like it. i'm ripping my foglights out to use as intake hosing vents.

 

My Xenon airdam doesnt sag ...with the help of support rods on the front and aluminum bracing underneath

Whoops, I just thought they made 2 different ones, one with holes for cooling or fog-lights, and one without

The front end on the silver on and the one on the red one aren't the same. Is the one on the silver one a xenon too?

 

They are the same only RacerX7 did some customizing like the mounts in the middle of it.

FWIW Xenon does make two different models of the urethane air dam. But none of them have fog light holes in them.

Due to different bumpers over the 1st gen years there are two models:
79-80
81-85

The ones in the pictures are all 81-85 model air dam.

 

ANyone have a pic of the 79-80 style? The opening looks quite a bit different, it's hard to tell from the picture on Team Performance.
