Xenon air dam anyone?
I was wondering if anyone has pics of an installed Xenon air dam (81-85). This is the same dam that Victoria British sells. The pic in their catalog sucks so I'm curious if they look better painted the same color as the car. TIA
On my avatar. I can get some better pics soon.
They're made of polyurethane and they flex and sag in the middle. As you can see on my avatar it's drooping.
I ended up pop riveting a 1" wide 1/8" thick piece of steel across the front of the air dam to stiffen it up. Epoxy or other adhesives would be better for a pretty street car.

Here's a pic from this page: http://www.motorsportsimaging.com/SC...s/DSC_5540.htm

Man does that droop. Looks like it would definitely need some reinforcement.

I like this one a little better, and it looks like it is a little stronger too

FWIW Xenon does make two different models of the urethane air dam. But none of them have fog light holes in them.
Due to different bumpers over the 1st gen years there are two models:
79-80
81-85
The ones in the pictures are all 81-85 model air dam.

Actually the car looks tight now. Don't change a thing.
