so it was just a normal afternoon...

...or so i thought


i came back from the post office after escaping a narrow accident.. as the glare for the sunset hits my eye.. a woman comes out from nowhere as i was doing a U-turn.. luckily she stopped just in time..

.. this was before i parked too close to a big 4 by 4 truck who couldnt get out.. and was so pissed at me after i left..

then as i turned into a round about ( i dunno if u guys have them there in USA) i hesitate and again narrowly escape a wat would have been a very big nightmare if anything happened ... i quickly reverse and from no where a hyundai excel creeps near my *** and didnt see... until a hear a loud BEEEEEEP!.. as i reversed..

ok by that time i knew, these last 10-15 mins were bad luck..


ok so i thought it was all over.. everything seemed normal...

i was getting really uppy about everyone on the road and i didnt wanna risk hurting my poor 7..so i was doing sum really defensive driving...

.. i turn into another BIG round about... and a woman turns in just as i did and gets a lil TOO close to my car.. .. u can imagine wat i was feeling at the time.. after nearly escaping 3 narrow accidents i was getting really pissed off.. so i gave her an EARFUL... 1 big BEEEEP and a kind of angry look..

after thinking to myself.. whoa wat a day.. and finally getting close to my garage.. the lane turns into 2.. the BITCH behind me that i beeped at wanted to take it further and started to get really close to the rear of my 7.. YES I WAS GETTING TAIL GATED!..

she turns into the lane next to me and started to go really fast.. and she was getting ready to overtake me..

ALL HELL BROKE LOSE.. i was thinking to myslef **** THIS ****.. i dont care if yur driving a car 12 years newer than mine (it was a corrola hatch i dunno wat model but it looked about 2000ish ) ... YOU AINT OVERTAKING ME BITCH!...


to wat seemed like forever was probably only 30 seconds of adrenaline rush.. i pushed the pedal to the metal and saw my rpm jump to 7k.... i was doing 60 when she was about to overtake me.. and as i pushed her hard it went to 100km/h in about 3 seconds..

i saw her car struggle as my rotary powered rocket zooms in and gradually leaves that bitch behind.... we were doing about 120ks in a 60 zone.. ( thank god no cops)

then came a corner.. i was like .. OH **** .. no new struts yet.. eibach springs not installed yet.. the car was fully stock.. an 85 model car against a 2000 model car when cornering.. i thought damn she will beat me.. in this.. but i kept pushing it and experienced a bit of oversteer but managed to gain control.. i looked at my speedometer... WHOA 70kmhs while cornering! not bad at all.... i quickly pulled away and she admit defeat..

i won the race.. she didnt get to overtake me and saw her really peed of face as she left from my sight as i exit the main road into my neighbourhood...

i turned into my quiet street.. parked the car.. and as i got out and went into the house.. i stopped for a bit, turned back and looked at my 7..

there she was .. soo beautiful.. so sleek.. and she took care of business.... that moment, i fell in love with her even more... looks.. speed.. guts ... and most important GLORY..




from this day on.. my relationship with 7s have evolved from just everyday mazda calssic sports cars..


to a kind of guardian angel .. or best friend.. almost like a warriors horse.. whos fought many battles together..

Had a very close call this weekend too.
I hadn't driven Rex for a week so decided to go for a spin. I came up to a traffic light to turn left and I was behind 3 cars. I was disapointed to be behind these cars because I like to wind it out a little on that street. We get the green arrow, turn onto the street, and then all 3 cars ahead of me get into the right turn lane to turn into a mall.
Awesome I think as I excitedly give it full throttle in 2nd and start to pick up speed. Then a big white Lexus SUV pulls out of the mall entrance to turn left in front of me, I jumped on the brake pedal and fortunately the Lexus stopped half way across after it saw me. Fortunately Rex's brakes are pretty solid, nothing locked up, and I was able to steer around it - heart in mouth saying OH ****!

Rex survived another day. I don't mind close calls.

Watch out for those SUV's!

 

Hey good story, glad you fell in love again. cause I thought for sure after the day you had you turned around to see a big *** oil/coolant leak...

 

My friend, Zach (virfighter), brought up his FB yesterday and I got to drive it! While driving it, two cars almost hit me--while i was driving HIS seven. Obviously these people are dumb ***** and do not look in their rear view mirrors. I hope I didn't scare ya too much, Zach

yeh yeh i know it was childish but i kinda got caught up in the moment.. prior to all the stuff that happened beforehand

but i do admit it was fun

 

oh and as for the coolant leak i posted up months ago... i managed to get that fixed.. it was just one of the black hoses that needed replacing..

after that i never saw the dread red light again..



next up.. installation of all my performance parts .. WOO HOO

Isnt it funny how when they happen in ya old Falcon, they just dont seem the same? I agree, there is just something about a "7" . What is it? I mean, here in Australia the going rate for a nice one (Say, 83 Series II - same as mine, according to the "red book") is about $3500 - 4400. So why is it that my 20 year old, not very expensive RX7 gets so many looks, comments, and offers of racing (Hoons at lights wanting to "drag") ?? And also - nearly every single 7 owner, madly in love with their car - be it a gen 1 or any single other model?

It sounds to me like you shouldn't even own a car since you almost caused 4 accidents in 15 min. followed by braking about 6 laws. Better enjoy your car while you can, it's probably not going to be around for long the way you drive.

Yeah i agree that it isn't the smartest thing to do around public roads like that. But i also think that just because you don't agree with someone's actions taht you don't have the right to come off as a ******* hard *** lieing to yourself that you are better than anyone who would do such a thing. Yeah, leave him alone. Lol, we have new information about the "woman" - she was actually in a factory race car, stolen that morning from her employer, that she was having an affair with. Timmya2 was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This "woman" had been having a bad day as she found her boss (who she was sleeping with at the Toyota Racing Factory) shacked up with some other hottie. The car she stole was a serious weapon and considering the age and non - hotted up state of Timmya2's vehicle, he did a pretty good job in "Creaming" her.
Again, the story was posted as an amusement to us forum readers and it did just that - Here, here Timmya2 - especially the Australia comment! - onya!
