painted rims
i painted my rims today. i used hi-temp engine paint. i think it turned out pretty good. i used some kind of scrub pad, some simple green, and some water. dried it off good with the air compressor, then went to town. i didnt think to get a picture till after it was dark, so ill get some more tomorrow, but i thought i would post this tonight.
when i got gas at wawa tonight, i almost looked like i was on steelies but upclose its badass.

That DOES look badass! Maybe you should have kept a polished lip, so it wouldn't look so much like a steelie. The night pic isn't even that bad. Post a daytime pic so we can see it clearly. Thanks!

Leave them how they are now, I like the silver lip and black spokes, looks sweet.
I'm picking up a set of LE wheels soon, I'm considering doing the insides black. I suck at painting though, how much do yall think a shop would charge?

Like these?
Painting isn't that hard if you take your time. You could just ask a friend to do it for a case of beer. Just make sure he does it before drinking the beer!

P.S.- BTW, those are 13" Cheviot wheels with BFG Radial TAs size 215/50R13 on them. I really like the look.

well, I like that alot.......... but it needs some polish to it.... cause like the wheel wells are dark and black, and so are the tires, and everything behind it, ect ect..... so some polish out lining..... like the side of the spokes.............
laterz....

Opps, the statement about the Cheviot wheels and BFG were about my car, not the MGB with the LE wheels. Doh!
Nice job on the wheels Onepointone, gives your car a kinda "stealth" look for lack of a better word.
