It could be the ABS, power locks and four wheel drive also. And just what is an air conditioning motor? At least it's listed with a rotary and not a 4 cyl or something else.

He probably means A/C compressor.

Many people make the mistake of subsittuting motor for compressor.

Where did you see the 4WD, ABS, Power Locks?

It's in options.

As for historic plates, you need to have a 25 year old car for that. This means 1978 or earlier. What a chode. You have another 6 years before you get Historic plates on that car.

Your car only has to be 20yrs old to get collector plates where I live!

Only a year and a half to go!

I emailed the seller. Here's the reply...

Correction....no power locks, seats nor 4 wheel-drive. Someone else said that it couldn't have R&P steering, but the dealer said it did. Perhaps this was because it was a limited edition RX7 GSL-SE??? If you're really interested, I will take your questions to the dealer. It has power antenna, cruise control. On second thoiught I think it does have power seats to move you backward and forward, but I will go to storage today to confirm.

Joyce

I'll have more info later today and will post it for our mutual enjoyment

Oh and for grins and giggles...

here's my first email, and my response to the above after that...

Power Locks
ABS
Four Wheel Drive
Power Seats

Along with the R&P steering, none of these were standard or even optional equipment on the Rx-7. Could you possibly elaborate on where the work on these items was done?

To which they replied the above. I wrote back with...

Even the GSL-SE didn't have R&P as an option. If it has power seats, it too would be an aftermarket item as it wasn't an option - even on the GSL-SE.

Regards,
--Tom

It'll be interesting to see how they respond. It definitely sounds like they're a bit clueless though "limited edition RX7 GSL-SE" heh

Follow up email...

Just visited vehicle and it does not have power seats and probably not R&P since you know better than I. Vehicle mileage is 96,230 with Borsh fog lights below front bumper. Reducing price to $4,000

JJ

Not that I'd pay $4K for an GSL-SE sight-unseen, but...

So this Joyce person bought the car to sell it on ebay?
Then if my logic is right... Joyce is obviously not the only owner!

And what is the "special metallic gray paint"? Is that the gray of the picture next to the bid button?

Well isn't that interesting, how they neglected to take a picture? Oh, no one wants to bother with a PICTURE of your car, especially when you're buying it!
