JB weld a dowel pin leak... should i?

JB weld a dowel pin leak... should i?

Hey.. my car is leaking oil out of the front housing and front cover...... im either going to jb weld it or overtorque the bolts holding the engne together...

if i jb weld it and stop the leak will my motor be fine?...

please help me guys...

wont work, the oilwill leak around the JB weld.... the overtorque will reduce the oil leak but thats mickey too!
time to rebuild

well i dont want to waste the money rebuilding my 12a because as soon as i get the coin im doing a tII swap...

maybye i will get lucky and find a junked fb that is just flodded.... ive seen many at the junkyards here with under 100k miles on the engine.. and they only charge 125 bucks for used engines...

also how much life is left on a 12a when it has a dowel pin leak?... and what should i do/dont do to keep the motor running longer?..

The dowel pin leak is mostly cosmetic, IIRC. Just watch your oil level (you should anyway), and you'll be fine.
