When I bought my '84 it had a black stitched leather steering wheel cover. I have no idea how old it is but it looks as old as the car. I really like it; its not soft and cushy but kinda slick and gives some much-needed grip area. Anyways if you don't have one I highly recommend it; it adds some beef and gives a buffer to the road at the same time.
