new to forum/couple Qs concerning gen 3 rx7s

I know only a little amount about rx7s, I was hoping some members can help me out and answer a few questions.
I'm interested in rx7s and I'm going to check out a couple this weekend.
One of them is a 94, 5spd, 27k miles, and all original... the seller is looking to get around $22k for it, is that a far enough price?
Is there any years better than others, when looking into buying a rx7?
I heard labor and parts for the car are going to be a lot, considering the car has a rotary engine and is turbo.
My last car was a 95 BMW M3, should I be expecting to pay more for labor and parts than a 95 M3?
Also, I heard people have had lots of trouble maintaining and taking care of a rx7 due to rotary engines, any comments on that? I don't want the car breaking down on me and having to pay a lot for labor/parts/etc.
Any specific things I should look for when checking out rx7s I might buy?
Any other information you guys can give me on rx7s and whatnot would help me out a lot.

Thanks

-Mark

Hello and welcome!!

There are not many differences between 93-95 RX7s. Best advice is find the one that best suits your needs and budget. I highly recommend reading all of the newbie links at the top of the 3rd gen portion of this forum. 22k is relative. Some people wouldn't pay anywhere near that. Some would say it is a steal.

If you do not do the work yourself..I suggest posting in your regional section and asking if there are good rotary specifc shops around you. The car can be a money pit and will need more TLC than your M3, but I don't think labor will be more.

But the most important advice I can give is to read the links like I said earlier. Let us know where you are, what your plans are for the car, and what is too much to you..because like I said it is relative. Hope I helped!!

Sorry, I've got to throw you the Newbie Link:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=147498

Check it out, it will have most of the answers to your questions. As far as a fair price? A fair price is only what you are willing to pay.

Good luck!
