FC and FD use same size rear brake pad?

exactly what the subject says, that's my question

Will a set of FC rear pad fit into an FD's rear brakes?

I have an FD and my friend with a FC used my old pads for car inspection. He said they worked fine.

Actually (iirc) BOTH the Front & Rear Pads are the same size/shape for S5 Second Gens w/ 4piston fronts and FD's - The OEM Compounds are different though as are the calipers
