could i fit a standard garrett turbo on the factory 89-91 turbo manifold? i'm curious as my friend has a t3/t4 he wants to trade me. he said that if the 89-91 turbo will fit on his manifold, then he will trade me. so i just want to make sure that the t3/t4 will fit on my car first. if it fits mines, then the hitachi turbo will fit his car then.

IIRC, the cast factory 89-91 manifold studs are about 3/8" wider than the T4 flange.
