TII 13B stronger than N/A 13B?

I was just wondering if the internals of the 13B-T were stronger than the N/A 13B. Are the rotors made with forged metal or anything like that? Also, what kind of HP are the stock internals good to (even apex seals)?

Do you guys think that the 13B-T is actually a reliable motor WITHOUT modifications?

I think 450+ HP is attainable on the stock internals on a 13bt. After that, I think it needs some extra doweling.

As for stock reliability. Personally, for a high performance engine, making that kind of power out of 1.3 liters and being able to rev freely all day long, its a very reliable enigine. Even TII's last at least 100k miles. That's pretty damm good for the kind of performance you get...

The TII and NA blocks are pretty much the same, strength-wise. The TII rotors are built in the same manner as the NA, just the tubs are lower compression.

There may be some subtle differences, like the stationary gears or something, but just looking at the two they're pretty much the same. The TII's also have a better oil pump, I know.

Most of the more exotic internal motor mods are for high (over 8,000 RPM) revving motors.
