Question Question for power fc owners?

In order to use the pfc + commander as a boost controller as well do I need any other device other than what comes with the pfc already?
I was told that I may need to get something seperate in order to regulte the boost.

if you have stock twins it controls boost out of the box. if you go single turbo or want to boost higher than 1.2 bar you need the boost control kit or a GM 3Bar map sensor and a standalone boost controller, greddy profec b, apexi avc-r, manual boost controller etc

So if I go single then I need a GM 3Bar map sensor in order to use the Greddy Profec B? I have the PFC now for my twins but I am going single later next month so do I really need one? How much are they?

Good question!

I'm going single this winter. I'm going for the newest Blitz boost controller (I allready have the PFC), will I need a new MAP-sensor??

I have the stock twins I just wasnt sure how the pfc could regulate boost by itself. Then again I never heard of anyone adding an additional control unit. I never looked for singles though.
Thanx vosko

pfc

itll regulate your target boost...youll need to play with your base duty to attain your desired boost level...although if you run a midpipe you will still see some boost creep

the power fc does a horrible job of controlling boost...it is not an accurate controller or guage in my opinion and experience.

I installed the profec b yesterday...that is your best bet...get a decent boost controller..no spiking...accurate control...

IMHO anyhow...

my pfc controlled boost under 10psi very well...

high boost.. anything between 12-14 psi it would start fluctuating trying to keep the boost stable.

this is with no midpipe.

a greddy profec b would be recommended for its stable boost and faster reponse as it uses seperate solenoids rather than the stock ones as the pfc uses.

with the "boost control kit" made for the PFC, it simply turns your PFC into an AVC-R. The "kit" is just the solenoid with a few other items(correction for higher than sea level).
