My Car uses too much oil!

Hi, I know this is not normal, but my car uses a lot of oil, i have to add like a quart like every 400 miles, what can be wrong?? Thanks!

Its it smoking? Is it leaking? How many miles? What kind of car? Year/model/Turbo/NA?

How many miles are on the engine?

Do you see any oil buildup near the oil coolers or on the engine? Does your car smoke when starting and if so, what color is the smoke?

How do you drive? Keeping the pedal to the floor will use oil VERY quickly.

might be the oil cooler. i was losing a lot more oil and i checked the oil cooler and there was a lot of build up around there that was causing a little barely noticable leak
