Need some opinions on paint and body...its TIME

Whats up dudes...and dudettes....

My clear coat is gone and everytime I wash my car red wipes off...I think its time for some paint. I need some help making a decision...just want to get some opinions and open minds. Nothing complex...just simple stuff and I guess when it comes down to it, whatever I hear people respond that sides with what Im thinking will go!!!

Color Choices:

Stock is Red - Repaint Red (a deeper red...like Blood Red or go with Gun Metal Grey or Black)? Yes, door jams will be painted (not the engine bay though).

Body Kit - yes or no or go with the OEM S5 Lip

Stock Wing with Body Kit - Take it off and seal all holes or leave it on and keep it stock?
Stock Wing without Body Kit - "same as above "

I currently have 5Zigen FNO1RC in Bronze. So whatever I go with should look good with whatever color I choose. I know, I can change the wheels and debating doing that...we'll see.

All I know is that Im getting this done soon...I just want to hear what some say and Ill make my mind up from there. Im sick of my door dings and faded non clear coated stock paint...time to restore her and make her shine.

i hear you man i could use a repaint as well..
i'd prolly stay with red, because if your not going to paint the engine bay then what the point in changing the color..right?
i'd go with a nice body kit something that you like. im sure that your going to want something that hasent been done before, but its hard to find a unique body kit..so its up to you.
i'd take the spoiler off, but thats just me i think that the rx7 looks better without it. and in red i'd say ditch it..
the wheels bronze is good with red or a gold car..i'd go with a set of wheels that would match your interior or something that complements the red, not sure of what color that would be eather..hmm ill get back to you on that..maybe a set of black wheels?
when you think about it its really going to come down to what you want not what we want..right? im sure that your just looking for advice..i would do the same. actually i would ask my friend since he has a knack for making car look good..lol..

I say skip the body kit. 98% of the body kits out there look like total ass, and the other 2% are passable. I don't think I have ever seen a body kit with a decent looking rear bumper....but thats besides the point.

I say stock sideskirts and wing, FEED style lip from shineauto...paint it a nice sparlkie red...and it will look sweet.

What the hell kind of answer is 3 Rotor with Single...

Ive got plenty of power for commuting and road racing...LOL.

Man, Im so twisted right now. Here is what Im leaning towards - Stock everything...remove the wing, get a front lip and drop the car a little more.

You guys are right though...nothing out there hasnt been done already and most kits do look like ass...especially the rears. If I were going to get a kit, it would be a front Amemiya Kit...but where to get it, who knows.

I was debating black wheels with a chrome lip, but went that route before and in Cali...it makes the car look too aggressive and almost eye candy for cops. Im trying to keep it semi-simple (if thats possible).

Keep'em coming.

Who has pics of any Shine Auto Lips or Kits...I have an S5 FYI.

Change of plans folks...motor popped today.

Stay tuned...seems to be running on one rotor right now. Cant idle alone...no weird noises other than it struggling to stay idle.

I was driving it hard (like I always do) and bam...I heard a slight click and sort of felt it. Came to a stop and motor shut off.

GREAT!!!!!!!!! Time for a street port. I was pushing it with my stock internals with my setup anyways. Stay tuned...

Its even better now. WHile the engine is out and/or getting ported, get the car painted including the engine bay.
