New Ride

Well yesterday was quite a long day. Flew Detroit to Milwaukee, met owner at airport with my new T2 and did the paperwork at the baggage claim area. Took the high speed ferry from Milwaukee across Lake Michigan to Muskeegon then drove 200 miles across Michigan to my home in Detroit. I pulled all this off in 12 hours, 3:30 PM till 3:30 AM......................I did all this with no license plate and did not get pulled over. (Its legal in both states as long as you have a bill of sale and insurance)
I must say that the 88 T2 is WAY differant than my 86 NA. The T2 is much faster without a doubt. Really nice ride, black with grey leather. Everything works including A/C and security system. This is my first boosted car so I`ll be starting over and asking tons of stupid questions
( only after searching )

My first upgrade will be exhaust. I want Turbo back, stainless, with a resonable sound. Only one I`ve found is the racingbeat REV III .
Any other recommendations. I want to do the right thing for this all stock S4 T2.

change your plugs/wires and flow/clean your injectors before you start boosting up your car

Rtek 1.5 is nice for some mild bolt ons.

i ran just a cone filter and downpipe on my 87 and thought, hey only 6-6.5psi. no FCD needed, ha. no. mightve been the fact it had 130k on original motor too, hehe.
zoom zoom boom!

the corksport exhaust is LOUD
the racing beat is what im going with

get a lightweight steel flywheel and a downpipe on the car too. they really make huge differences.

congrats on the car btw t2's are awesome

Yes, I`ll be doing plugs, wires, fluids front to back etc. I have a Megasquirt but need to get it setup to go from my NA to the T2 (harness adapter etc.)

Congrats and the journey you made sounds quite fun! RB is the way to go if you don't want it to be too loud.

Those first mods won't leave you very happy :P

When opening up the exhaust..you need to do fuel mods, and have the turbo's wastegate ported. Otherwise...like the other guy said...zoom zoom boom!

Well I still need to get a couple of pics up for you all, I`ll try to do that later this evening.
I will be ordering the RB exhaust soon, I realize I`ll need to do the supporting mods in order to not f%#k up the motor . I`ll do the WG porting myself as well as upgrade the fuelpump. I need to round up a second set of T2 injectors and send them to RC Engineering. I actually have a set of NA injectors fresh back from RC that have not been installed into my `86GXL, to bad they are not the correct size huh?.

The car checks out on carfax. Has 60k on the clock. As far as I can tell it has not been repainted. Does have its share of door dings and a very small dent, and I mean tiny, right over the RF tire, 1inch no more. Inside is as good as outside too. Previous owner changed the clutch, I`m not a real big fan of 6 puck UNSPRUNG, but it for sure don`t slip .
I just replaced the shifter bushings (had a spare set from my NA) Think I`ll go for a drive and check it out
