!!Rotary Spirits needed for Japanese Classic Car Show!!
Dear Rotary Spirits,
Hi I am one of the rotary lover and ex- RX-7 owner, and also a Japanese classic car lover.
Today I'd like to let you know about coming up car show, Japanese Classic Car Show, on Oct 1st, 1 week before the Seven Stock.(
Thanks to Bern/Rotary News.com for the previous post & support!)
There will be MAZDA categories and Triples sponsored by MAZDA North America!! And YOKOHAMA TIRES just joined this event. They will have YOKOHAMA TIRE SETS CERTIFICATES with lots giveaways for the event along with lots of goodies. Location will be a Queen Mary park, just in front of Ocean.
As you know, early 1970 was not a good time for Mazda back in the time, because of Oil Shook (called in Japan that way). However, this Rotary had been saved and moved on, still strong, though not so many RX series are on the streets...Rotary spirit is needed , join us to show old school Mazda powers with Rotary sounds!!! Without Rotary sounds, it WON'T be a show for the Japanese Automobile History for all the Japanese Classic Car Fans.
Why this car show? We have been featuring old Japanese cars in So-Cal for 4 years on our website www.katysnest.com, and have been to so many car shows. Of course SEVEN STOCK is MUST for us. We always thought, "It would be nice to mix all the Japanese cars together into one show and respect the history of these popular Japanese Automobile manufacturers....just like in Japan!"
Yes, this car show is DIFFRENT from only MAZDA car show. This is for "all Japanese classic cars", so, Classic Datsun/Nissan, Toyota, Honda (like N600). Subaru, Mitsubishi will also participate. That is why, space will be almost like "reserved" in order to let all Car Clubs and makes park together. So we would like to encourage Pre-Registration ( with one event T-shirts) if anybody is interested. That way, Mazda lovers can gather in the same area without hustle, we can save you Mazda spots. The day of the event gate registration WON'T guarantee to park within special Mazda area, or with your car Clubs, and entry numbers are limited.
* Open Registration booth will be available on AUG.28th, SUNDAY at Ricky & Ronnie's Diner in Torrance/ 1301 W. Sepulveda Blvd. Torrance, CA 90501
or any time on-line or mail in at www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com
We look forward to gathering with you at the event, and we will be at SVEN STOCK this year again, hopefuly with Japanese tour group!
Hey Terry... glad you posted here. Guys if you can make this show, go for it. This should be one of the largest Old School Japanese car shows around. The setting at the Queen Mary should make it real nice weather and scenery wise. It's the weekend before SS-8, so use it as a primer! Two great car shows in two weeks... October will rock in So-Cal!
Thanks to Terry and Koji, for all of their SevenStock support over the years!
