Blake Qualley, we will miss you!

I was informed today by a mutual friend of ours that Blake Qualley has died last week. I am not sure what I should say but I thought that friends and customers of his should know that he is no longer with us.

He has taken his own life and I am not going to judge him or sit here speculating why he would do such a thing. He must have been troubled and I feel some what saddened that I did not know about his trouble so I could have helped. We had a little falling out a few months back so I was out of the loop.

We have been friends for about 6 years and have had many good times working on his or my projects. I will miss him. For those of you that knew him for a period of time knows he could be a little hard to deal with but he was a good friend and was somebody that you or I could count on.

I am certain that the info to his ceremony will be published shortly so his friends can send their respects to his Family.

This is going to be a huge shock to everyone as it was to me. For the past week we down at pineapple have been worried and were actively trying to find him. After the 3rd day of him missing I almost ran out of gas driving around gresham to find his house, I then proceeded to call all of the local area hospitals to obviously no result. This bothers me a lot because me and Blake had many great times together working on cars and shooting golf ***** with .45's. The first gun I ever shot was Blake's and the first motor swap I ever did was with him which is a big deal for me. He also helped me and Dan get our ninja products going strong and taught both of us a lot. I am going to miss him a lot and I think maybe a nice long drive with everyone from RPNW and any other friends of his would be a good way to pay respects and celebrate the things he did for everyone. Let me know what you guys think

I will meet up and go for a drive. He will be missed. I spoke with him on several occasions, always a pleasure to deal with. It saddens me to hear that he took his own life.

I'm speechless. I am just really upset and sad that he is gone. We traded parts and stories in the past. I am glad I got to spend some time with him over the years, His passing is a huge loss to our community and motorsports in general, my prayers go out to his family and friends. We will miss you buddy.

No ******* way... WTF! This sucks. Blake was a great guy and was always kind to me. I've had a lot of dealings with Blake and I can honestly say my life has been changed by him being here. I'm going to miss you Blake.

I did not know Blake but through going to Pineapple all the time before and when my car was being worked on and also doing events with RPNW that we hung out at. I just cant believe that he is not around him and his knowledge are going to be greatly missed if they are not missed already. If anyone knows of the funeral date please feel free to share it. This is a rotory brother and I am sure that alot of us would like to be there to pay our respects.

"To Blake, I am sorry that you had a rough life to end it. You will see up in heaven that you will be greatly missed by people that knew you well and by people that knew of you. Its been nice picking your brain I will miss that. PEACE OUT MY BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

What? Geez, this sucks. I never actually met him, but he had some of the most enjoyable and informative posts of anyone in the first-gen section.

+1 there needs to be a drive for him.

RIP, man.

I wonder if any of his close friends knew he was that troubled?

he will be missed,i did not get along with him outside of the shop( Pineapple Racing),but didn't ever wish him anything bad,now that i look back over the past 2 years i can see similar traits in him that another friend had a few years back that took his own life as well, also into Mazda's,i wish i could go back and let him know that i am there as a friend to talk to if he needed someone.to little too late,i'm sorry blake for not taking the time to look a little deeper than the tough exterior you put up.i think i will reserect the original RX-7 and a half and make some passes in memory.

REST IN PIECE,

Paul
