2 TII swap ?'s - p/s and fuel pump related
I've been searching for a while now, and didn't find as straight of an answers as I like to. I am putting my S4 TII motor in an S4 vert using the NA wiring. First off, from what I can tell I don't need to incorporate the fuel pump resistor and realy. The downsides are more pump noise, and possibly shorter pump life. Is this correct? I'm using a walbro pump and the stock FPR for now. I didn't find any info on how to incorporate the resistor and realy into the S4 n/a setup, so if this is recommended a how-to or link would be appreciated.
Secondly, and probably stupidly, is my question about power steering. I know i have to cut the wire from pin 1R on the ecu because of the TII knock sensor input. I understand the knock sensor is somewhat optional, but couldn't find what to do with the NA's power steering pressure switch wire. I'm hoping for a response of "ground it" or "tape it and let it dangle" but please tell me if I'm wrong.

Just tape it off. It carriys no elec pwr from the pwr steering unit. When pwr steering was turned left/right that switch was MADE and put gnd on the ECU's pin1R. Just tie it to the harness in case you want to use it again someday on a na.
You don't have to use the fuel pump resistor/relay on that series four. Forget that part altogether. It COULD be incorporated, but is not worth it at all. Been there, done that. Gone back to non use of it and stk turbo pump.
