A/C Thermoswitch & PFC Info
I went to the dealer yesterday and had them look up the thermoswitch for me. There are two listed one is listed as a Japanes manufactured part and the other is listed as US made. They are quite different in appearance and the wiring is also different. The Japanese part has four wires leading into the switch where the US part only has two wires going to the the switch and the other two ports on the plug are jumpered to gether with a wire.
Pricing is ~$200 for the Japanese part and ~$80 for the US one.
I happen to have the US part on my car now and my PFC doesn't work with my A/C, I'd be willing to bet that the people with the Japanese part are the ones that have working A/C with their PFC's.
If someone would be so kind as to check this that would be very informative. Also if they could check the voltage to and from the thermoswitch that would be nice too.
The parts guy also said the A/C compressor was different too, but he couldn't find any info on the Japanes one, only that it was ~$1000, and the US part is ~$400.
