13btt or rx8 Renesis engine?

hello all,
i know this seems like a stupid question and it's all over the forum, but i have been searching and i haven't really seen anything stating an answer on which engine is better? the 13btt or the rx8 Renesis?
Please bare with me i don't really know alot about rotary engines, but i am trying to do the research and i just cant find strait forward answers.
what are the good and bad qualities of both engines and is there anyway to interchange parts? (like the housings for the superior intake and exhaust ports of the Ren, but also using the internals of the 13btt for durability? so you can turbo it?)

any input is appreciated

not sure if this is in the right section ...

anyway, there is no better. they both do their jobs well. the Renesis is an evolution of the old and it's definitely a step in the right direction, but it's not without it's own faults.

as far as swapping parts goes, the simple answer is no. the REW rotors will not work in a Renesis block and there's simply no point in putting Renesis rotors in an REW block. i suppose if you wanted to use the Renesis eccentric shaft in an REW, you could, but that's about it.

read what i wrote, again.

i never said it can't be done, i said there's no point to it. while many people turbocharge Renesis engines with varying success, swapping the rotors into an older turbocharged 13B makes no sense outside of VERY specific, VERY limited applications. if you want to the run the engine without turbos, then fine, but even then it's arguable if you have more benefits than drawbacks.

no worries ... just want to be clear, okay? here we go:

i said, REW rotor won't work in a Renesis.

the Renesis rotors will work in the older engines. several people have done it successfully. they need to be modified though (apex seals) and with their static compression being what it is, there's no point to using them in an REW (or any older turbo application), particularly if you're going to be pushing for the upper power eschelons.

gotcha! it would be nice to run 10:1 compression in a rew with the twins.. could save life on the twins and get a lil more low end grunt.. if it would handle the boost well still.. and i think it should.. could make for an interesting setup honestly? but i do get what your saying and it would be more hassle than its worth..
