secondary fuel filter location?

Year: 87
Model: Turbo II
specifics 5lug & 5spd

When i was crawling around under the car looking for the clutch slave cylinder (found it on TOP of the trans....oops) i noticed something bolted to the pass side firewall down low. it looks like a typical in-one-end-out-the-other style fuel filter that was in a vertical orientation.

I was under the impression that its over the rear diff or by the gas tank due to a thread/diy i saw. was that diy for a different rx?

the Gen I filters are just ahead of the rear axles. so many that's what you remember.

the Gen II filters are on the unibody rail, just behind the front tower, but it's on the DRIVER's side. i'm not sure why yours is on the passenger side, but with the exhaust running near there, i would suggest rectifying that as soon as you can ... before it rectifies itself, the car and you! if it's a case where you misspoke and really meant driver's side, then carry on.
