Limited to 5psi boost and Fuel smell
Problem: I just installed an autometer boost gauge and it's reading ~2psi at idle and 5-7psi under full throttle. I haven't monitored it too much, but it looked like at the sequential changeover that it drops down to 2psi and builds back up to 5psi again.
Other random issue: Fuel smell from engine area (see green circled part in picture).
Background: About a month ago the battery died, reset the ECU, and when I installed a new battery it was no longer in limp mode and ran great for about 2 weeks. Then I think the overflow coolant line popped off after I parked it after driving hard because there was smoke coming from the right headlight. The AST didn't break, but the hoses to the overflow tank came off so I just replaced the hoses on the AST.
So here's my ideas: Boost or vacuum leak causing low power, although I've had the vacuum lines inspected (one replaced) already a couple times. For the fuel leak, maybe the pulsation damper? The shop I took it to said they'd have to take it apart first to figure out what needs to get replaced for the fuel leak. I barely noticed the smell until I took it in and I thought it was related to changing out the fuel pump or periodically carrying a gas can in the car or something. The shop I took it into said the intake is fine and isn't leaking.
I plan on buying the UIM and LIM gaskets and whatever other small parts it could be just to have them on hand, since I have to wait on parts whenever I need something fixed, and it's better to spend $20 now than wait two weeks later.
Performance mods: ARC intake, Trust exhaust. Not sure if cat was removed. Stock ECU.
