Keep original parts or no?
I have a 1993, R1 25th anniversary 13B. I've converted it to a ported single turbo. I'm looking for opinions as to whether to keep the original parts or get rid of them and what they might possibly be worth if sellable.

No idea what a "25th Aniversary 13B" is... but to your question...if you've gone single and don't even have the sequential system, I wouldn't bother. That said, I saved mine. mostly because they (currently) aren't worth much more than the cost of shipping and I had the storage space.

Rear Cat? From the factory, there was a pre-cat and main cat. The pre-cat was as the name implies and integrated into the OEM downpipe. If you STILL have one, it should be removed. They were added only to aid COLD start emissions and were known to collapse with age and plug the main cat...which could damage the engine. They also GREATLY increased underhood temperatures which baked plastics and rubber...i.e. solenoids, check-valves, wire insulation and hoses, and reduced life-spans of those components. Of course you can save it if you're **** about such things. But I think owners don't have any problems with emissions testing with just a downpipe (and a decent main cat). Preferably the DP is heat-coated or wrapped. Adding a quality DP is one of the few two-for-one modifications IMO. It's a reliability mod AND a performance mod
Not sure what the value of the used OEM main cat is, sorry. But I doubt it's anything near $4k.
