Dont know what i should do

Hi guy's
So heres the story. i bought a 1988 s4 n/a i think its a glx. Its been standing still for over 15 years. Im a bit scared to start it. I didin't even turn it over. What i did do is change all the fluids. And now the question.
Should i just try to start it or should i first do a rebuild? I dont know how rotarys do after standing for so long. Thanks

Did you drain the gas? Purge the gas lines? Put oil in the housings and let it sit and turn it over by hand for a couple days? If not, your not ready to start it, and could do damage

Ok thanks i wil try that. Do i have to take the intake of an clean everything out? Or isnt that nessesery? And can a Rotary freaz up like a piston engine? The previous owner took good care of here. Atleast the service history says so . She had fine 118k kmtrs. And only did 10000 kmtrs a year. So i gues Every thing should be ok in There ?

So she has finaly shown a sign of life. I can get her started with Some starter spray when she's cold but Everytime i touch the gas its stops running but idles fine. And when she's up to temp i can slowy accelerate a bit net then same story. A friend of mine sayd it could be the old gas in the tank. I forgot to draine it. You guy's think its the problem?

Can i clean tje injectors myself? Ive seen a fluid that you put in your gastank that should clean the injectors. Is this the same or should is just let a specialist doe it? And another question what is the best octane level i sould use ? Ive read that in the us they use 85 or somthing but here in belgium tje lowest you can get is 95. Could this be a problem?

That is not the same as having them professionally serviced. You'll spend about $50 per pair and it's worth it.

Yes, the stuff in a bottle is just that, stuff in a bottle, doesn't do what you NEED done.

And run the lowest octane you can find, rotories seem to hate high octane fuel
