Hay I kno this topic has been covered before but they don't reach a conclusion I'm getting a 12A BP with cryo seals and a RB holly 600 carb and it's going in my 85 gs with the gslse def and brakes and the guy I'm buying it from isnt letting me take the dizzy he has on it or the msd ignition system so I'm wondering what I should do I have a dizzy off an 85 12A all stock can I use that one? I'm a big noob when it comes to timing and stuff so laymen terms would be nice thanks

shouldn't be an issue using the distributor that you have (as long as the ignition setup the PO had was stock or stock-ish).

there are several threads in the Gen I section (or you can get a copy of the FSM) for the installation procedure. it's pretty straightforward.

for timing you can use this chart as a guideline.
