We can't make it tonight, as I don't get out of work 'til 7 and we have to do some stuff to my FB (new rotors, install hub centric rings, possibly flush DOT3 for DOT4, etc.), and I have to be back in Dexter by 5pm tomorrow for Mother's Day dinner. Thanks for the offer tho.

Despite the weather, we had a great time.

Here's a video, not much rotary action because we were mostly racing in the same heat, so I couldn't shoot and race at the same time (not quite that talented). But there are a few shots of incar action from me, and there's an RX8 and a vert with an LSx swap in it.

A friend did shoot a bunch of video of us rotar heads, and will be putting something together as he gets time. I'll be sure to post that up when its available, he got some really great footage.

But here's the one I've gotten so far (I'll put day 2 together when I get a chance):

And now, on to the next event of the year.

This one is my all time favorite, because it is a very long course, very very fast (I've redlined 3rd gear before), and excellent pavement. This one always fills up fast, so if you think you can make it then sign up NOW (you only pay if you show up).

Here is the link for details: http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=10972

And here are a couple of videos showing the different course layouts we have used in the past at this event (courses have gotten longer each year):

Here's a short video from the last event. Watch closely and you'll see me kick up a cone on the last turn, what you won't see is that it landed right back where it was, so I didn't get a penalty for it.

Sign up if you think there's any chance that you can make it. It fills up very fast.

Upcoming autocross race on July 3rd & 4th. This is another great venue, with a large, smooth lot.

As always, out-of-towners are welcome to camp at my place.

Thanks man. If you ever want to come down for a race, you're welcome to crash at my place. Just shoot me a PM and you'll be all set. I usually have a few out-of-towners at my place on race weekends.

Here's the link to the Lansing race on August 14th/15th. Always a great event. We actually combine two parking lots for this event, so we get a nice long and challenging course. This event also usually fills up fairly quickly, so register now if you think you can make it

http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=10974

And here's a video from last year's event, so you can get an idea on the length and layout of the course:

Another great event coming up this weekend in Muskegon. They usually provide lunch and beverages for us, along with some nice prizes and giveaways. Also, we always get a great course out of this lot.

Thanks man! Still haven't heard from the shop yet, but hoping to get her back tomorrow.

I would invite you to come over and stay the night, but the wife is sick and I'll be working 1st shift Friday, then back in again for 3rd shift Saturday morning. I will be arriving late to the event, probably around noon, just as soon as I can get out of work. Probably be half dead too.

In addition, not quite auto-x but run very similarly, SVR-SCCA is running ice races in the Saginaw Bay and on Ross Lake again this year. They're run auto-x style, meaning through cones, and cars released at different times so there is no wheel-to-wheel racing. Three more events are left too!
