I wanted to get a little 1-on-1 from you about your taurus fan install with the volvo relay... i was just curious if you have any further updated info after all these years? i know you have your how-to write up, but I was just curious if you might be interested in giving me a second “go-over” of your steps and what you needs, etc.
At this point I guess I need to go buy all the parts new vs hoping for a junk yard, so I’m just curious what I need to pick out, and how to go about the process again.
I hope all has been well for you. I really am not sure what the state of the rx7 forums has been.... I dont use social media, and I dont come to the forums much anymore..
Hey bud,it's Matt. I have that ratty red & white bronco. I completely forgot I had an account on here. Showed I was last on in 03 lol. I used to have an old 79 with no title that I had no idea how to fix back then lol. But anyway, I wanted to give you my number,as I hope we can get together some time and shoot the shit, and work on something.
I found the following thread while researching wiring for installin a Lincoln Mark VIII fan into my Monte Carlo SS. Great find with the Volvo module as it is a nice clean way to install the relays. I was wondering if you happen to know the current draw that the internal relays can handle? My fan draws in excess of 80A on startup and I want to make sure this module can handle it before I decide to go this route.
Have you had any issues with your Taurus fans? From what I understand they are pretty well the same with a slightly smaller fan blade.
