Haltech PS1000 and stock FD fans
I would like help wiring up the stock FD using a PS1000.
It looks like i need to use PMW to control the stock FD fans but what do i wire it into?
Going to DGRR in a few weeks and it would be great if i could get this fixed prior to the meet.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The PS1000 uses pin 1 on the 34 pin connector (which is PWM OUT 2) to drive pin 3D (white wire blue stripe) on the FD oem engine harness which controls the "thermofan" output.
At least that is how it is done on the patch harness. If you are on the patch I can send you a complete diagram for it all, just send me your email.

So to do this. I'm thinking
I use the V/BR wire on pin 1 on the 34 pin connector (which is PWM OUT 2) and connect it to G/B on x05?
I will then go into the haltech setting and tell it to activitate the fans at a certain temperature.

yes, if DPO2/PWM2 is your available output wire.
but before you go to the tab to set the fan trigger temp you have to tell the haltech what you want PWM2/DPO2 to do. select "thermofan" from the drop down menu.
also, more explanation of how this works:
you are referring to it as a PWM (Pulse Width Modulated) but that's not really what it's doing in this case.
when you use DPO/PWM2 as a fan switch the haltech basically sends one single "pulse" (see term Digital Pulse Output) and the ECU just holds that wire to chassis ground for you to trigger the fans (when you're above the temperature you set on the thermofans tab). does that make sense?
