Trying to reach 250hp with an N/A

Hi Ive got an 88 GTU and this winter my engine will be taken out rebuilt "has 59k miles" and will be upgraded/modded to pinch every drop of hp out of it w/o adding a turbo. I want to know what you guys suggest I do? Ive read up on porting and I will most likely do that but dont know which type yet, bigger fuel injectors, HQ sparks, HQ wire, tuning the ecu to only run premium full unleaded w/ no ethanol, much bigger intake, full flow exaust... etc. I want to know what you'd do.

Thanks for the suggestions!

are you running this in some sort of competition? If so you need to research the class rules for rotaries in that class before asking an open ended question like this.

if you are not racing any with classes, just want more power get yourself an ecu some 55 mm ITB's with injectors, get some peri port housings and have fun. if you can not afford the MFR housings there are ways to make your own, but I doubt you have the necessary equipment for that.

you could always build an NA bridgeport with a semi-peripheral port job, thats good for about 270-300 at the flywheel maybe more depending upon your builders skills
