Car still smokes after start up..

Hi all -

I understand that the car will smoke a bit while it's cold - esp. outside, but lately the temps have gone up to about the low-high 70s and 80s I think this weekend. I've been running rich lately, as I smell it - bad. I've been thinking of playing around with the R/L switch, but wasn't sure if I did play with it, and I turned it too much, it would mess up... or something.

Not to mention at every start up, whether or not the car has been sitting for 20 mins, to about 4hours, I'll start her up, and white-ish smoke comes out the back, and it smells extremely rich.

Any thoughts?

White smoke may be a sign of a bad coolant seal.
