USDRFTR's Pro am build(rebuild)
After flipping my last drift car over end over end twice, I decided this time to go ahead and build for Pro am competition in the west region.
Then this happened...
That is the reason for rebuild. Most everything from the car is useable, except the shell. I did not have a roll cage and it is my fault the car flipped over.
Car was an S5 90 GXL with turbo swap, my new one is an S4 88 GXL. Both white.
I picked the new 7 for $600 and just sold the motor and tranny for $750 and still have the LSD from it to sell as well(any takers?)
I have stripped the interior and most of the engine compartment...

Cage has been completed by none other than the shop at Hotline. Justin shop does awesome work and I feel very safe now. Along with the cage, they stitch welded the rear strut area(will do the front next time it goes in for more work), as well as open the rear fender area for overfenders and a wider stance...
I ad to gut the doors to make room for the Nascar style door bars...

I will V-mount the front end in a few weeks, I mean Justin will V-mount the front end!
Pics afterwards.
Some new parts I bought waiting to go on...
I just bought a new Sparco EVO XL in black.
Near future I will have front end stitched up, then I will sand, steam cleam engine compartment and inside compartment, then paint inside and engine compartment.
Followed by engine install and back to JTP's shop for v-mount set-up.
Hood and fenders next, and back to JTP's for full corner wieghting and suspension tune.
I will post pics of the Battleversion arms I will be buying soon as well as my current setup of JIC FLT A2's, etc.

Yeah, the previous LCA and ball joint setup was a custom piece by tony at AWR. I am going to bring the bent and broken pieces back to him and see what he says. The lca's had needle bearings instead of bushings and the ball joint was a heim set up. I will definitely keep you posted.

Thanks, looking forward to mixing it up with you also! Your build thread inspired me to start mine. Itt is alot of work to actually do the build, AND take pics along the way. I'm sure you know that.

Aftermarket seat but stock twin seat belts. My *** was not in the seat!
I can only speak for myself, but I didn't think about getting hurt or dying, etc. After initial impact I knew was airborne and flipping someway, but I was just holding on wishing repeatedly in my head, "don't land on the roof, don't land on the roof!"
Of course it immediately slammed flat onto the roof! Instantly the windshield was in my face.
I knew I wasn't done flipping yet as I still had a small feeling of centrifigul(?) force applied to my body.
I pushed as hard as I possibly could against the steering wheel to push myself back any fractions of an inch I could, awy from the windsheild in my face and started repeatedly wishing again, "PLEASE DON"T LAND THE ROOF AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T LAND ON THE ROOF AGAIN!"
The next rotation came down on the sidewall of the drivers rear wheel/rim and flipped over again, this time landing on the roof again, then sliding to a stop some 100+ feet.
Once evrything stopped, I looked around and saw I wasn't getting out right away and quickly thought about fire starting and reached up and turned off the ignition.
I started trying to get out of my seat belt, upside down. I heard and saw feet running towards the car. I started yelling, "I'm okay, I'm okay!"
Firecrew was on scene.
I crawled out of the side window on my stomach, and that was that. No pain, no broken bones. I was lucky and saved!
