Unhappy Needs some diagnostic advice - 94 stock FD, reman, new turbos

Greetings fellas, need some opinions...

Here is current situation....
i have a 94 FD with new reman and new turbos, only mod is downpipe. When I got the car(as described above) it would run but barely. It burns super rich, pops, boosts at idle, and I can barely get it to move. Compression tests show normal results, has been checked out by a couple of mechanics and they all agree engine is good. It does however have a major exhaust leak.

So Cheatham and I rip out the nest and set it up as non-seq. Starts right up, idles better, but still boosts at idle and will not go anywhere. Like I said there is a major exhaust leak in the engine compartment, haven't checked where at yet.

First dumb question, could the exhaust leak cause this?
Second dumb question... HELP!!!!

Let me clarify, if the car is sitting still and I rev it a bit, it will boost.

are the crank pick ups and sensors ok? and in the right places.
They were replaced prior to my acquisition. I know the plugs are in the right spot, just don't know if the plugs are wired correctly. Does anyone know what color wires go where? I looked in my manual and the colors don't match up to what is there.

the plugs and coils wired correctly?
Yes

you might want to check your map sensor. When i rev my car too up to like 5-6 rpm i would get around 5-6 psi of boost. That seems normal to me. How much boost do you get?

if you want to meet this weekend, We can compare your spark plug wires with mine and stuff like that, maybe we can find a problem. Where in St. Louis are you?

I live in sunset hills. I know the map sensor is good, I took it off my other FD. The wires are on correct too. My best guess is the crank angle sensor is wired wrong.

But can the exhaust leak cause any probs like this?

PM ZoomZoom about that crank angle sensor thing, he had an issue with that not too long ago, and should be able to tell you what the car will do with that set up wrong.

An exhaust leak could not cause those problems.
