If you are going to be buying it soon...then I would recommend doing lots of searches on this fourm. There is lots of good info. on it, most of it has been asked at least once. The same posts come up over and over again, so searching helps keep down the amount of repeat posts.
Things you might have questions on:
what to spend my first $xxxx on
FMIC vs. SMIC (front mount intercooler vs stock mount ic)
Remove AST (air supression tank) or not
Pulley upgrade...is it worth it.
If you have questions the people here are a great resource, but be warned that if you ask something before you search you may get some ugly responses.
Just giving you a heads-up,
Everyone is new once

also search for "reliability mods" and check out the regional forum to find some guys close to you who can help you out with any questions we may not be able to answer with out seeing your car.
then go to www.rx7revolution.com to register for the revolution

First off, you've been told what it means......repeatedly above. Its called reading, left to right, up and down. If you actually had taken the time to READ what some of the other members would have said instead of scrolling down the page you wouldn't have been continually asking what it meant.
Secondly, no offense but I would do a lot more than a month’s worth of research. I did 2-3 years worth before I got the 7 it was still overwhelming at first. You’re not going to learn enough in a month to warrant buying a 7. Believe when people say it’s a financial drain they aren't joking around. Seriously they may say it jokingly but its not, an FD takes a lot more care than your Supra, 3Si, 300ZX and their are A LOT more quirks about the car that your are not going to learn at all in a month. It takes knowing those quirks to maintain and run an FD properly, otherwise you will be very unpleased with your decision to purchase the 7.
And finally, this is the problem in my mind, so many kids are deciding, hey that looks cool I want an RX-7 too. And have NO CLUE WTF they are getting into. Then they come on here without searching or even browsing before asking all these questions. If you did just a little research and used the sticky threads with newbie links you would find your answer in less than a day. This is why 7s are beginning to, as I feel lose their automotive mystique (as mentioned in another recent thread). Because it seems like this whole new wave of teen-agers without a clue about the car, not to mention how to drive for that matter, want to buy one. All this leads to are damaged 7s, crashed 7s, and abused and neglected 7s. They buy the car because OHH IT’S THE NEWEST RX-7 AND EVERYONE SAYS THEIR FAST AND THEY LOOK COOL, NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE A TRUE ROTAY ENTHUSIAST.
Do yourself a favor, sit down and do some extensive research before buying. It truly is to your benifit. And don't even bother to try flaming me because I feel from previous posts/threads that the overwhelming majority of members on this site agree with me regardless if I am the first to state such things on this thread.

I didn't do that much research and bought it anyway. I would do so again even after I read all sorts of stuff about it. I've had it home for 2days and it's been for 2months at my service so far No, it didn't break, but I ran over a roadkill 2 days after I got it and it wrecked my radiator, swaybar mounts, swaybar enlinks, oil pan, underbelly pan, .... How convinient eh ?
Now I'm waiting for some parts to arrive from USA (Koyo radiator and Widefoot swaybar mounts) and the car should be ready in 2-3 weeks. Just right for the snow to melt off around here.
So ya, it's more at the service then in your garage, but boy does it bring a smile on your face. I drove NSX, modded and stock 300ZXTT before and neither did impress me as much as FD. Although I'd love the NSX, I just don't think it's worth that much (and there is no power potential like in FD, unless you hang a turbo inthere). Besides, no-one knows what the hell this car is. People ask me if its Ferrari, etc....
Mine is one out of TWO FDs in country. Talking about exclusivity...
