Unhappy Rx-7 In The Winter

I was wondering if anyone who has an RX-7 can tell me how well it does in the snow. Im not expecting anything amazing but I live in Ohio and for my parents allow me to keep the RX-7 I got for my birthday I have to get around in the winter. Thanks for the help.

Park it! i drove my gxl in the snow a few times before i turbod it.

it was manageable, but a cheap fwd bomber is a much better option

What kind of snow are you talking about? We got like 3 inches and I was laying a constant burnout, then I decided to use the ford explorer!

Driving FD on Snow!

IMO, it's dreadfully dangerous without snow tires. With snow tires, it's driveable with serious limitations. Do all of us a favor on our insurance and find something else for winter. Anything else.

If you want to read more, I suggest you search for "snow"

The steel in the undertray and lower body is thin.

Just go ahead and drive it into the salt bath and see what you have left after a couple of seasons.

They don't use salt in Ohio in the winter do they?

Dont do it. Even if you "could", why should you? Lets say you have snow tires and dont go fast. In the winter conditions, the worse drivers unite and somehow try to, as a group, to knock you off the road. Yeah it only happens to you, the person who makes their FD so nice and problem free all year long. Thats how it is with us unfortunately.

Just buy a pos car for the winter, or borrow a car from family or use public trans if you can.

Ride a bike in the snow. Just don't forget that you need to wear a helmet.

Drove my FD this past winter, but the roads were okay around here. On the really bad days i just drove my beater like you should have/get. These cars won't do very well under serious snow conditions.

I suggest not driving it in the winter. If your budget permits, get a daily driver to get you around the winter months or find other means of transportation (borrow your parents car, bus, etc...).
