Question Pettit Carbon Fiber Hood

I recently called up Pettit inquiring about their Carbon fiber hood. They are now only charging $850.00 for it...but when i asked about how it fits...the guy got all nervous and just talked about how you can only pay by check...and you cant use a credit card in case you charge back if you dont like how it fits. Anyways......im wondering if anyone has purchased a Pettit hood from them..and what kind of fitting problems was there if any.

IMO i dont know if the pettit hood is all that great. might as well fork out a bitmore cash and get the mazdaspeed imitation, or even the real mazdaspeed. looks better, functions better, and probably fits better.

i myself prefer the look of the pettit hood over the mazdaspeed...
guess your info puts a crimp on my plans..its the only hood ive seen that im willing to purchase...simple design not too gaudy...

no offense intended but when you say it functions better, do you have hard facts you can point me to ? im in the market for one and would like to make a sound decision......outside of its appearance

Ive been looking for a hood for the past 3 weeks. Its seems really hard to find 1. Now...i was interested in that Pettit hood.....but by the way that guy was acting...he didnt seem to friendly about it.Nor did he tell me that the hood fits good, is made good, or anything positive. All he really made clear was that the hood HAD to be paid by check or money order.NO CREDIT CARDS.So....that tells me 1 thing...poor quality! Just doesnt seem worth my time or money...even though the hood looks great.
