Talking My Spirit R Type A Driving Experience

Now that I have your attention...

Just returned from my vacation in Japan yesterday. While in Japan, I stopped by Maker's RX-7 in Hiroshima to see what they had in stock. Low and behold, they had #298 of 1500 for sale. Asking price: about $27,700

Here are some more pics of the car:

I sat in the car and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the seats were. Man, I was drooling all over the car and my wife thought I was such an idiot blabbering to the guy walking me around.

Turns out that I missed seeing Maker's Race car by one night. The car featured on this website. I really would have been in heaven...

http://www.makers-7.co.jp/

I did NOT get to drive the above pictured Spirit R but I did get to drive this one:

It is a Choro Q (small remote controlled car that is about 2 inches long). Not quite the real deal but as close as I could get...

If those were available in the U.S., I would *gladly* shell out $30k for one.......

That would be a good idea, as the price was suppose to go down right after the new year...

If only I still lived there!

Beautiful car, if you want to shell out the money heh i can add it to my container shipment next year :-D Just would have to strip it down before shipment then you can reassemble it. I am brining back a bunch of rotary goodies from here in J-Land.

I would buy it take it apart and put every single piece of it on a U.S. shell painted to match.
I might look into this in the near future.

thats awesome!!! I always stare at the pictures in the RX-7 coffee table book of them. It's mind boggling to think you could have a FD that is only 4 years old!!
