My Ride in TurboTommy's 20B
First let me say that I have been in a lot of fast cars before. (Porsche Turbo, Ferrari F430, and multiple pure track cars.) This is as fast and raw as anything I have ever felt before. Tommy said I had to have a ride before his new Exedy clutch was installed. He had torn his 6 puck ACT clutch to being almost useless, so he may have been losing over 20% of his power for this ride. He said he wanted me to feel the difference.
At 14 lbs of boost, and with Tommy behind the wheel, I was a little scared to get in his car. I finally fit my 200lbs *** in the passenger seat and held on.
The first impression is the noise and torque of the car. The car sounds unlike anything else. It is the sound of pure speed. Out of the parking lot I felt so impressed by how quickly the boost was kicking in. Tom saw my curious face and said, "dude, that is just torque, not boost." It was at that moment that my stomach dropped through the floor. We pulled onto a back road and he hit it. The torque pulled hard, sucked me to the back of the seat, but then, as if the hand of God had decided to smack me in the back, the turbo kicked in, and I was plastered to the back of the seat by the unimaginable force. I managed a weak, Hollly sh*t...as he shifted and broke the wheels loose at somewhere near 80-100, I was way to scared to look. Cars were ahead so he slowed down and pulled into another empty side road.
"Lets try the line lock out," he said. Well, wow, what a launch. The car sat, smoked, then he let it out and it pulled hard, the drag radials grabbed and off we went. Wow, as we reached the stop sign we slowed down, and the car turned off. I asked, "Tom why did you turn the car off?"
Tom said, "ummm, I think we blew the rest of the clutch to pieces, hahaha."
Me - "Tom you are crazy."
Tom- "I know. I am gonna hop it into first and get it back to the shop"
Me- "Please, do it slow...."
We got back to JPR and the car was fine, but, just in time for the new clutch.....
I feel bad for the Iroc that wants to go against this 20B.....
Hopefully I will post the ride with the tripple disc, if I can actually re-enter that car.

Gonz, I expect a story about yours. Obviously they were built for different purposes but I am sure you will enjoy it.
It is 15 minutes from Philly in Tom's garage.
It will be at JPR meet at the end of March, hopefully with mine down as well...
