KIDDING!
I just picked up my first FD (from another forum member)! It's a VERY clean 5sp 93 VR Touring with black and tan interior. It has 73k miles and is solid. I drove it halfway across the country just fine .
I've owned my FC for 7yrs and it was time to upgrade to my dream car.
It came with the following mods.
Performance Mods:
-Koni adj. shocks
-Brembo cross drilled rotors
-Cusco Strut Tower Bar (Polished)
-PFS catback
-New act ss/hd clutch kit (about 500 miles)
-New mazdaspeed cf shift ****
Reliability Mods:
-RP Rebuilt engine ~10k miles ago.
-Petit Aluminum AST
-PFS dp
-digital water temp gauge on a-pillar
-ISSPRO boost/vac gauge on a-pillar
-Silicon vac/boost tubes
-Greddy turbo timer
-Optima Red top battery
-Replaced 5th gear synchro.
I'm planning to keep it mostly stock and maintain it extraordinarily well. I'm aiming for reliability over performance, since stock performance is supercar anyways. This includes running 92 octane, never boosting on cold engine, letting turbos cool, etc..., fuel filter changes regularly, as well as either royal purple or mobil1 synth oil and probably some premix (as I did in my FC) for good measure.
Possible future mod plans:
-Upgraded radiator and/or dual oil coolers
-99spec bumper & tails.
-PFC + CAI
-upgrade radiator hoses
In the cold MN air, I'm getting some boost spike at transition, though (don't worry, I've searched extensively). I also plan on putting in an MBC since I'm kinda paranoid about these things.
Just thought I'd share my excitement with everyone!!

Nice! Sounds like you're on a good path - treat the car right and it'll treat you right too!

Congrats on the FD, welcome to the love/hate relationship...lol. And by the way, on a stock motor with 20 lbs of boost on the stock turbos you can run a 100 shot on 87 octane. j/k

Laughed my *** off when I saw this thread...
I was thinking wow what an under achiever 20 lbs of boost and only a 20 shot??
I would recommend 30 lbs of boost and a 150 shot!
Congrats on getting an FD... I wish you all the luck. It's an incredible car as i'm sure you already know.
