Any tricks to getting this thing off besides cutting it off? It has a huge hole in the back...

Also would a leak here cause any major issues, cause the car seemed to run fine, I just stumbled across it.

If it's got a hole in it, why not just cut it off and replace it with a new one?

IME new hoses are much more flexible. That particular hose is pretty tight, but if you put a little PB blaster on the surfaces it shouldn't be too hard.
