Got My FD Last Night!!
Finally...After smoothing it over with the wife, haggling with the seller and the hassle of getting a loan, I finally have my '93 FD.
Love the car... My new project.
Which brings me to my question. About a week ago someone posted a thread about a downpipe for a very low price. I can't seem to find the thread. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I've been looking for a stock one to make my project. So many plans, so little cash.. I'm in no rush though. I want to do this right the 1st time.

Congrats on your FD. Be sure to install a Boost Gauge. Pretty important Gauge to have if you're going to start modding. Good Luck.

I have had my FD for about 7 months and like you, i am paying off a loan. I had talked to the guy about the car several times and driven it as well. He had just put about $13,000.00 dollars worth of new engine/turbo/clutch/wiring harness/etc. into it and had all the receipts from the dealer. The service guy at the Mazda dealer convinced me that it would run like a champ. I even ran a carfax on it and it came up clean. Turns out, the car has been "put away wet". In the last seven months, I have probably only had 4 1/2 months of driving because of shop time. Oh yeah, i put in the wrong vin# on the carfax report too. Get this....It has a salvage title and the guy lied to me and to the bank about it. What an *******.
Either way, i do love the car and am sorry to put this on you. I just needed to vent.

Just wanna say THANKS for everyone's encouragement and help while I was doing extensive research on the FD. Your advise helped me make wise decisions during my search.
For all the newbs to this forum (such as myself), do not get offended/frustrated if you ask a question and people direct you to the infamous "SEARCH" field. These people here are right, and you can find most any question you have in the archives.
Once again, it's great to be part of the FD Family and thanks for all your warm welcomes!

I posted the E bay item before. It was just a midpipe for like $80. It was a really nice one thou. I have it on my car and it fit perfect. I checked again and the guy doesnt have any forsale right now. But check back in a little but and he will prob have em. His E bay user name is dohccivicna1250. He also sells these B&M style short shifts. But here is a link to a downpipe/midpipe combo that looks just the same. The buy it now is $165.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33630
If you read the auction, he says that he welcomes group buys. I think that someone should get ahold of him and set up a group buy.
