efini y-pipe question
Ok so I know the main benifit of the efini y pipe is to get rid of the plastic crossover pipe and make it a gasket/bolt setup. I was wondering if the actual Y portion is any more free flowing. I am looking at one of the large SMIC's and know they work with the stock y-pipe but I can easily fabricate the efini one to work with it also.
thanks,
mike

the crossover pipe from the Efini Y-pipe is a huge improvement because it isn't plastic and doesn't have the coupling like the stock one. the plastic crossover pipe has been known to split, as has the coupling. and as you can see, the Efini Y-pipe (polished) will have much better airflow and the stock Y-pipe (dirty)...

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
I think a 10 hp bonus is a little much. from that little indent in the y-pipe. I built my own, but I don't have an FD, or an REW, but I do have the turbo's.

yea i plan on always staying on twins and soon i want to go to the new BNR stage 3 with the ball bearings and try to make over 400whp in sequential form. i will probably bolt the crossover pipe down and then cut it off and weld on an aluminum pipe inorder to mate up with one of the race SMIC's.

Sorry OT, but what is that big nipple on the Y-pipe for? I bought my car and that was capped off, and have been wondering ever since.
Also, should there be a clamp or something where the Y-pipe connects to the pipe from the rear compressor? Or does it just seal with the O-ring.
