Question C's short shifter install

I'm about install my C's short shifter and just wanted to know if there was anything I should do once in that area. Is there anything that might need to be replaced(bushings etc) that may not be in the kit? Do I have to lube/grease anything for extra measure? I have not done this before so i though i would ask for any extra pointers....

It's pretty straightforward, just pay attention to the pics and make sure you install everything in the right way. I put some grease on the ball to keep it lubed but that's about it. You reuse your original spacer and wave washer so don't throw those out. IIRC, it goes new metal spacer w/notch facing down, old wave washer, old spacer (with notch facing up), new paper gasket, new large spacer w/pin, shift assembly, 3 bolts. I have some pics if you want me to send them to you. Email is MichiganPopsicle@aol.com if you're interested. It's an easy job, takes a couple of minutes.

No need to put grease on the bushing because that area should actually be filled with 75w gear oil. Don't fill it to the top just fill it about 3/4 to half but there should already be some in there if it was cone correctly the first time.

Yeah you can dip you finger in there too and rub a little on the bushing, but its pretty much drop it, doing that wont really matter much.
