car won't start, new battery...i've searched
I'm currently working on my dad's FD and in november the car had some problems with the battery. I found out that the optima yellow top battery was dead. So today i got a new optima battery. Tried to start the car and it won't start. I checked all the fuses and relay in the engine bay and everything is ok. Starter is good since the engine cranks really good. Fuel pump is a denso and is brand new (I had the problem with the stock fuel pump and had a denso so i installed it) and still doesn't want to start. Alternator has been checked and is A-1. Car is not flooded, I checked the spark plugs and they are okay.
I really don't know what to verify now... the car cranks, the car has a PFC and I see 11,8 V when i try to start it.
any ideas?
Thanks
Max

On mine I know its not flooded because we keep clearing the system before trying to restart, then we checked all the plugs and replaced them all is firing right the car just wont start... Compression is good, its getting gas, and its geting spark.... Should fire up, extremely confusing??????

Make sure the crank angle sensors are still plugged in and none of the wires were frayed. Do you hear the fuel pump priming? How do you guys know its getting spark? Doing the old screwdriver test?

nov - march ~ 5 months??
have you tried putting a little oil in the chambers to see if it will help get you some compression?
and again how do you "know" it is getting spark/fuel/injector pulse

Check your coolant temp sensors. I know it sounds funny, but I just had a problem with mine after a alternator issue.. My coolant temp sensor had took a **** and the car wouldnt start, cranked fine etc. Go in your engine bay and wiggle your wires running to sensors and hear if your relays start clicking.. If so you got a bad *read connector has broken off or come loose* sensor. Thats my .02

won't start
You could also try changing the fuel filter. I know this may be a guess, but if it's clogged, it could keep it from starting. It's down anyways, might as well start it with a new filter.

Make sure your MAP sensor wiring is good. I had a short to the reference 5v and the PFC thought my car was running 1.2bar of boost at 0rpm. Check the boost reading on your PFC.
Needless to say, it wouldn't start until I jiggled the wires near the ECU to break the short. The wires were wrecked from a previous, poor S-AFC installation. I was able to limp home to yank the S-AFC and repair the wiring.
