Boost problem solved

Having my boost problem fixed and a new heavy duty clutch installed which set me all about $1400. I now had problems when increasing boost over stock level using my AVCR. Anything from 0.60 kg/cm2 and upwards causes some cut out/hesitation when 2nd turbo kicks in and espically if I'm flooring the gas. However if I accelarte gently I don't have this problem.

I'm running version 2 setup as in the diagram below, elemination ECU pre-spool and control completley from the process. Playing around with few setups, I found that at any point increasing the boost but lowering the duty cycle have minimised the problem. From further research it seems I can average/medium duty cycle of between 45-75 until 4000/4500RPM at which point I need to set the duty cycle to a much lower value, until it passes over 5000RPM and then increase the duty cycle again. With higher duty cycle Im getting stronger and more powerfull accelaration but it appeant that hight duty cycle cause boost spikes during transition between 1st and 2nd turbo.

btw what are your mods?? I hope your car is not stock...surely doesnt look like it...but increasing the boost on a stock motor without the necessary mods will eventually lead to your motor saying bye bye...i wouldnt turn up to boost if i were you...

Apexi AVCR, Apeix RSM Speed Meter + G-Sensor, Apexi SFAC II Air/fuel controller, Front mounted intercooler, uprated fuel pump, Apexi Twin induction kit. Max boost I'd run is 0.90 kg/cm2 which is just approx 12.83 psi.

Having thought of buying another one since I can grab these FD's for around £3000 mark and do a 500hp project I was qouted around £6000-£7000 for a single turbo conversion. Which includes turbo, engine rebuilt with uprated parts,intercooler, injectors, fuelling, clutch and labour.

I know decided to hold such an idea and sadly considering a Supra TT as I can get over 600hp for for much less money. But if $$$ is avilable in the future, I will cosndier another FD with a single turbo conversion.

Dude those pictures are WWAAAYYY too big. I can scarely tolerate trying to read them.

Yeah, you definitely don't want any boost spikes. IMHO the ideal boost control setup is tweaked to make the boost flat across the board from 3k up. At 4500 it's better to have a little dip than a little spike.
