brake caliper testing / ?

Ok.. I've got the pads off one corner of my car (front pass side), and I pumped my brake pedal once, and noticed that the lower two pistons moved but not the upper two.. is it possible that they are sized or something? How could I check?

Thanks

(car is an 88 turbo, 4 piston brakes)

Set your pads sideways (or use a couple pieces of wood) to cover the lower pistons. This will prevent them from moving forcing the uppers to move. Don't push too hard, if the pistons pop out you will have a mess. And a problem!
