Bomex rear bumper or VIS replica?

I am interested in picking up the Bomex rear bumper for my FC as it is the only rear bumper I have seen that I personally like. I saw that VIS Racing Sports makes a replica of this kit as well for a little cheaper. The best price I found for the Bomex was $228 + $165 shipping ($393 total) versus the VIS (on eBay) for $115 + $165 shipping ($280 total). So my question is are the two equal in quality and is it worth it to save or spend an extra $110?

Honestly,your car,your money.
If you decide on which version of Bumper, the Only suggestion I would make is to make sure that you get the Bumper in FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) as it is more durable and less subseptable to those little Bumps and Dings you may encounter.
I was gonna say it is more prone to Curbing( when parking up against a curb, straight in) But I see you are only getting the rear.
The Front Bumpers in a Body kit are lower. So Speedbumps are tricky, especially if the car is already low.
Good luck, and post pics up of what you decide to get,Installed.
Cheers STYX!~

Just to clear things up. FRP is a generic term for any composite material. Could be fiber glass with resin, carbon with resin, or kevlar with resin. If I were picking a body kit, I would just make sure that the material is flexible and not stiff as that will lead to cracking. Good quality FRP kits will flex, cheap ones will be stiff and crack. The manufacturers can mix their own resin formula which determines the qualities of the final product.

Call or contact the manufacturer, ask them these questions. Also, you may want to ask them about the fitment and what they will do if the fitment is off. I really can't belive those people selling body kits on ebay saying "its ok for the kit to be "2-3 inches" off and "you will need a professional body shop to install". Thats just unacceptable, but I suppose for the price of some of those....

Vis is good for a knock-off brand. that's about all i can say..

virtually any aftermarket body parts will require work to fit properly.

do you have the front and or sideskirts to match? and also, i hope you do not mold the kit in.

Also, check out http://www.fiberglassforums.com/automotive-exterior/

i stand corrected, that car does flow very well.. those wheels dont do it justice though, 17x7 front wheel drive wheels are bad on a rwd car that can benefit from 8 and 9 inch wide and lower offset wheels. what wheels did you have in mind? That car wouldnt get picked for magazine coverage imo.

If i recall, bomex likes to keep a low price so people dont try to knock em off. Should fit decent and get to say you have real bomex. VIS is known to be one of the early bodykit knock off companies. But over the years, knock off kits have improved in quality and fitment. Bodykit business is a big industry now so they cant be spitting out **** products like years before.

Alot of work is going to be done to produce that clean shaved look like that white car. Try to go authentic. People tend to mold in the knock offs due to it being easier to mold it in rather then trying to cut up and correct the kits mistakes.

I agree I find the wheels on that car weak. I was thinking on getting some Konig Lace's. 19X8 35mm offset up front and 19X9.5 25mm offset for the rear. I like they way they look in this picture below but I have seen them in others and I find they don't look the same. At first, don't laugh, I wanted to put on a set of 350Z or G35 wheels because they have the perfect offset.

Maybe I'll go with the Bomex bumper instead of the VIS.
