v500 boost controller
has anyone tried using the boost controller feature of the wolf. i'm about to try it so i want to know if i'm wasting my time or not.

im guessing you bought the solenoid?
how compact is the unit? when I put the v500 in my car and get rid of the v3 im using that option, wayne suggested it so I trust him. He did mention its a little different to set up then a standard controller. |
well i have a solenoid from an apexi unit so i was thinking that it can be used or do i have to buy a specific one? so it worked with the v3 you had?
|
no I had a external greddy with the v3.
I now have a V500 to go in the car, and one of the options I am doing at install is the boost controller option. I dont know enough to say if any solenoid will work but the one Wayne was selling me was very affordable, I believe well under $150. |
ok good i'll give him a call.

I am using a boost controller with great success. I have it controlling my solenoid and keeping the valve shut up to 15 psi, at which time it starts to PWM. I then increase the boost after peak torque to broaden the torque curve.

good to hear that. i wired up mine so it's just going on the road and do some testing.
