Alright folks I finally put it up!

It's a Santa Cruz Cruise! The weather is getting awesome, so it's time to get those vert's out and roll with the top down!

When: Saturday June 26 at 11am
Meeting: Starbucks on Saratoga Ave right after it changes to Highway 9
Drive to where: Boardwalk! (Biggest parking lot) If we have enough folks willing we can drive a little more south to Moran Park to do a BBQ picnic, close enough to the waters, and picnic's are permitted on that beach
What do: Talk about our cars and get ready for the summer!

Bringing food is optional, but encouraged!

Yeah 9's gonna be closed south of felton so we'll take felton-empire and come into town at UCSC or take the boring Mount Hermon Rd that I take daily......that won't be a long run but it'll be sick, in my yard.

I live a block from Moran lagoon/ 26th ave beach. Count me in! Do you mind if I cross post this to MOCC? It'll probably bring a few 3s, Proteges and Miatas out, but we're all in the same family, right?

Like bmeyer said, 9 IS closed all summer between Felton and SC. There are other routes, but it might be wise to avoid Felton altogether (traffic nightmare because of the work on 9) and take Alba or even Jamison Creek road up to Bonny Doon and on to Santa Cruz.

Dude, let MOCC in on it, that'll be cool. If the roads are closed I apologize for not being aware of that at all... let's figure out a fun route to cruise on either way. Cars, BBQ, and beach with a cruise will be fun no matter what!

We should do 236 to Jamison Creek to Empire down thru UCSC as natey said. Dude 236 sucks between Big Basin and the 2nd intersection with 9 LOL that would be hardcore though. I'm amped for this. BTW Eileen, the lots at the boardwalk are 8 bucks I think for parking....

 

I'm down to change the route if needed, maybe I'll burn some gas this week and go on a solo cruz to check the roads

 

9s-->236s--->Right on Jamison Creek, go to the very end and take a--->Left on Empire Grade. Follow it past UCSC and take a right on Bay Street.

That'll take you to Mission Street/Hwy1 in Santa Cruz. Take a left (on Mission St) and follow it to Ocean Street/Hwy 17.

Well it looks like I won't be going due to I have no cruz car I would roll up in the truck tho if that's coo
