I gave Haag Performance a call and they do rebuild FC RX-7's & they gave me a rough estimate. The guy on the phone seemed nice as well. I'm stuck decided whether to rebuild this car or sell as a project.

FYI. Rotor Sport in Santa Clara seems to have shut down. No idea if it's permanent or temporary.

Consolidating what's been said in this thread in the past few years, we have.....: PR Motorsports in Hayward (serviced my s5 twice this year so far) Rick's Rotary in Pleasanton Sakebomb Garage in Santa Clara Evil Genius, John Pagle in West Sacramento; plan on waiting a couple months Haag Performance in Sacramento; plan on waiting, Miatas take priority Ivan -- mixed reviews & you need to be referred by a friend Geoff Roark on facebook -- seems to be unavailable at the moment haven't seen much feedback on the following, but worth a shot if they're close to you Bridgeway Auto Repair in Sausalito Pro Inspections in SSF Werkshop llc.in SF, ask for Stan The Shop San Bruno - Auto Repair and Performance Mr. Mazda in Campbell is winding down rotary work(?) Larson's Rotary in Antioch, website is down Don Walker at Autos Unlimited seems to be gone; good riddance Air Conditioning -- if you bring your own R12, Ron at San Leandro Radiator will charge/diagnose/fix your A/C. If you don't have R12, there is eBay or maybe I have some lying around. Very nice guy. Been going there for years. Alignment Motorsport Techniques, Hayward Treds, Hayward; been there recently Walt's Danville Service, San Ramon corner-weights -- I don't know anybody mysteriously, Roger Kraus in Castro Valley has an empty alignment rack and no techs Dyno Services -- you run the computer, they run the dyno and may advise you on fuel & spark adjustments Newtech Performance, Hayward -- been there twice this year Tech3 in San Jose Nextgen Auto Sport, Hayward GST Motorsports, Hayward FETEC Motorsports, Hayward Rob's Auto machine, Hayward Gasoline Dreamz, Hayward ... Compression Test. I have a Twisted Rotors compression tester with printer. If you're in Hayward, you can hit me up. |
I would also recommend Rotech Auto Salon located in Arcadia. The owner, Nelson Wang, is all sorts of Mazda certified, owns just about every rotary, and has been working on them for over 20 years.
