They never made a SR FC....NOOB, maybe that might have something to do with it.........LMAO. Maybe some sort of ifienni (SP) badge of some sort would make sense.........go back to the lsx forums noob!!!

see if he'll make a piston key blank for ya

Brismo7 08-29-08 12:21 PM

i know they didnt, but the key looks badass and its rx7 related.

If, they made some sort of Infini key, i would rock that. I just love all the little trinkets you can get for the rx7s.

I'm a hard core ricer!

Man... I thought you weren't a newbie... 1400+ posts and still clueless...

Cut off the first 1/4 inch of the FD key and presto... you have a FC key.

I use to use a jspec Efini key in my old 88 vert by that method... in fact I think I even posted up a thread in the 2nd gen section on how to back in early 2002.

Wow. I didnt know that. I thought the blank pattern was inverted or something. Thanks Mark!

And Thanks for helping me Stick it to the man

 Just FYI, ILCO MZ16 vs MZ27.

Thickness
FC Keys-MZ16: 2.1mm
FD Keys-MZ27: 2.6mm

If Mark was able to cut a J-Spec key and use it on his FC, kudos. But YMMV on the ILCO branded blanks I use.

Steve, I just don't enough people wanting that logo for the FC, so it's probably not going to happen. Economies of scale. But if it was the 10th Anniversary Logo..

10th ae would be tight

I have done it a couple of times now. The FD blank is tight, but on on a 20 year old lock the tightness makes it feel like new.

See the FC lock cyls are really 2.5mm anyway... just they use a slightly thinner key. But maybe the ilcos are too big???

I'd do it again on my 10th AE if I didn't have a perfect set of OEM keys.
