Trying to find a 5-10K roller, but having a tough time. If I were able to find a very clean low mileage (maybe blown engine) FD, for up to 20G, I'd be willing to spend that much as well.

If anyone knows where I can start looking to try to find a 5-10K roller, or a very clean low mileage project car up to like 20K, please help a bro out. Been in this for years and finally saved enough money to either buy the car straight up for like 25-30k, but would prefer to be able to build it ground up and save some cash along the way.

I'm from Fresno, CA, but would be willing to drive to LA when to search on the ground.

Sadly the market isn’t what it used to be. Just a few years back you could find a clean, relatively low mileage FD for under 20k. Now people are asking 15-20k for a roller with bad paint and missing interior. I would just to wait and keep saving until the prices drop or just buy a clean ready to drive FD for around 30k. I’m in the same situation as but I’m in no rush to find another FD so I’m choosing to wait. Good luck with your search.

L.A by far has more FDs than most of CA I'd say.
but keep an eye out, I bought my 2nd FD off of Offerup. 76k miles, flawless interior, had some dents and terrible paint though, $9k. Rats nest in the airbox, but nothing unfixable.
Just keep looking.

Look North. I would say. But the supply of FD for sale in Canada has also dramatically dried up.

Did Tomsn16 sell his beautiful red shell yet?

The trick is to keep your eyes open and be ready to buy ASAP. Good FD's are on the market for less than 1 week, from my observation.
Try using sites like www.autotempest.com , which I found to be fantastic!
